Honouring the dead. Preserving sacred ground. Passing on our parish story. The cemeteries of Stella Maris Parish are more than historical sites. They are places of prayer, memory, family history, and Christian hope. Each cemetery tells part of the Catholic story of Herring Cove, Portuguese Cove, Ketch Harbour, and the surrounding communities.
Cemetery Plots
At this time, available cemetery options are limited to cremation garden plots at St. Paul’s and Our Lady of Sorrows.
We understand that these decisions are deeply personal, and the Parish Office would be pleased to answer questions and help guide families through the available options.
Columbarium
Stella Maris Parish is offering columbarium niches at St Pauls Cemetery as a dignified Catholic option for the placement of cremated remains. Niches may be purchased by individuals or families who wish to make arrangements in advance or who are seeking a final resting place for a loved one.
