About Us
GOD'S WORD: A JOURNEY THROUGH MATTHEW
Welcome to God’s Word, a journey to encounter Jesus Christ through Scripture, Adoration, and quiet prayer. As we read through the Gospel of Matthew, we are invited to rest in the Presence of the Blessed Sacrament, grow in familiarity with His Word, and deepen our personal friendship with Him. Whether you are seeking spiritual renewal or a quiet place to pray, you are warmly invited to come and sit with the Word made flesh.

Introduction
Reading the Gospel According to Matthew
Why Four Gospels?

Jesus did not leave behind written texts. As the early Christian community grew, the disciples needed to preserve the memory of who He was and what He accomplished. The Gospels are not mere biographical chronicles of Jesus’ life, they are written acts of faith rooted in the eyewitness testimony of the Apostles.

How We Read God’s Word

When we open Sacred Scripture, we do not read it in isolation. We read it as Church, within the living faith community and with the collective understanding of the Church across the ages.

During Eucharistic Adoration, we encounter Christ’s presence in distinct and powerful ways:

-
In the Blessed Sacrament: Exposed and honored upon the altar.
-
In the Gathering: Present wherever two or three gather in His name (Matthew 18:20).
-
In the Proclaimed Word: As taught by the Second Vatican Council, when the Scriptures are read in this sacred setting, it is Christ Himself who speaks to us.

We read God’s Word not by inventing private interpretations, but in communion with every baptized believer and under the guidance of those called to shepherd our faith.
